Champagne Pools

One of the most popular attractions on Fraser Island – The Champagne Pools. Relax in the naturally bubbling pools as the waves rush over the rocks and into the pools below. Its really like being in your own tub of champagne, as colourful tiny fish swim around you in aqua heaven.

Lake Wabby 

Lake Wabby is the rarest form of lake in the world (a Barrage Lake), which is slowly filling in with sand, and will disappear within the next 70 – 80 years. The Islands deepest lake, Lake Wabby enjoys the reputation of the “Sand Dune lake, as you can roll down the sand dune into the water. Enjoy the incredible windblown sand dune landscape of Hammerstone Sandblow on the Way into Lake Wabby.

Lake Birrabeen 

Lake Birrabeen is one of 4 spectacular Blue Lakes found on Fraser Island. With snow white sandy beaches and crystal clear blue fresh water, set in the middle beautiful rainforest, Lake Birrabeen is a tour highlight on Fraser Island. Less well known and harder to access than Lake McKenzie, Lake Birrabeen is the largest of the Blue Lakes, and considered by locals and those in the know as the most beautiful lake on Fraser Island.

Indian Head 

Indian Head on the Northern end of 75 Mile Beach is a spectacular Rocky Headland famous for never-ending views along the eastern beaches and out to sea. Here we see marine life on display, as Dolphins, Turtles, Sharks, Fish and migrating Humpback Whales gather around Indian Head in full view for us to enjoy.

Eli Creek 

Eli Creek is the Largest fresh water stream flowing out to sea on the Eastern side of Fraser Island. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool sand filtered water as it flows between the sand dunes and out onto the beach.  A board walk is built along the banks of the creek for those who want to just take pictures.

Maheno Ship Wreck 

One of the worlds most photographed shipwrecks, the SS Maheno on 75 Mile Beach stands as a beautiful contrast between a pristine beach and a man made structure. Learn about the terrible night when the SS Maheno found itself beached on Fraser Island during a cyclone off the Fraser Coast in 1935.

Fraser Island Rainforest 

The ONLY place in the world to grow rainforest in sand, Fraser Island’s World Heritage Listed Rainforests are truly special. Enjoy the beautifully unique “Pile Valley “ Rainforest walk, as you discover Central Station, Woongoolba Creek and Giant Satiney Trees.

The Coloured Sands

The stunning coloured sands are a photographic masterpiece. See the myriad of colours on display, as natural leaching of oxides and vegetable matter stain the each grain of sand over thousands of years.

• Standard QUAD SHARE Accommodation (included in standard price)

Our budget 4-share accommodation is perfect for those on a budget. All 4-Share room has their own en-suite shower and toilet, and 4 single beds with small kitchenette. This room is shared with up to 4 other people on the bus.  While we always try to keep male and females separate when requested, please note that this is not always possible.

• MOTEL Private Accommodation (Twin Share = $150 per person – Single = $300)

Our MOTEL Accommodation offers you private motel accommodation for you and up to 2 other people (3 people in the room maximum). With a Queen Size Double bed, and a single bed in each room, you will enjoy your own private en-suite shower toilet, and Kitchenette.

• HOTEL Private Accommodation (Pool View) (Twin Share = $230 per person – Single = $460)

Our HOTEL Accommodation offers you private accommodation overlooking the pool for you and up to 2 other people (3 people in the room maximum). With a Queen Size Double bed, and a single bed in each room, you will enjoy your own private en-suite shower toilet, and Kitchenette. For an additional $50 for the room, you can also enjoy Air-conditioned luxury not afforded to any other rooms in this wilderness resort.

• 2-Bedroom Apartment ($540 per night for the apartment)

Our 2-Bedroom Apartments are situated on 2^nd and 3^rd floor overlooking the resort and pool.  Apartment consist of 2 single beds in one room, and a Queen size Double in the other room.  An open plan lounge, dinning and kitchen area with a separate bathroom and toilet make this incredibly spacious apartment a pleasure to stay. A full length balcony offers lovely views of the resort.

Due to traffic, & the extreme conditions experienced on Fraser Island to buses & the environment, Sunset Safaris reserves the right to alter or cancel any section of the itinerary which may result from road, traffic, weather, mechanical, or any other condition or failure or delay of an operational nature without penalty, & such conditions will be considered as a Force Majeure Event. Sunset Safaris will take all reasonable steps to rectify the situation during any such event, however no liability will be accepted by Sunset Safaris in circumstances outside of Sunset Safaris control. No responsibility or liability will be taken in the event of injury from pre-existing medical conditions (eg: bad back), accident, injury, loss or damage to persons or property due to persons own negligence.These booking conditions do not waive Sunset Safaris from any of its obligations according to law. All Minors (people under the age of 18) who book day tours without a parent or guardian attending the tour must call or email Sunset Safaris to disclose their age before booking the tour. A waiver form will be provided for parents or guardians to sign before tour departure. If a minor arrives on tour without parent or guardian permission and without a signed form, the minor will not be able to participate in activities of risk, and will not be eligible for a refund. For Multi-Day Tours, minors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to be eligible to attend the tour.

PAYMENT
Your Tour payment is broken up into 2 components, your Sunset Safaris ticket price component ($439), and your Fraser Island - LOCAL Fees ($90). The Fraser Island - LOCAL Fees component of $90 must be paid in CASH to driver upon departure, while the $439 boarding pass can be purchased HERE on this web site.
