TOUR INFORMATION

Australian Sunset Safaris is proud to offer activities for those who are already on Moreton Island, or for those who are planning to make their own way onto the island for a family holiday or camping stay. While our main “pre-organised package tours” represent amazing value, we realise that these fully inclusive packages don’t suit everyone’s needs. In the below tabs, you can pick and choose from some of our awesome activities we have on offer, and even combine some of the activities at a discounted price.

Included in our list of activities below is our “Scenic Island Tour,” PERFECT for those who wish to see the best scenic locations on Moreton Island, and ideal for those with limited swimming and fitness abilities.

Sand Boarding is a long held tradition on Moreton Island, and no other place on earth does it like “The Desert” on Moreton Island. A combination of fine silica sand, a steep windblown sand dune, and a gentle runway at the bottom of the slope makes “The Desert” on Moreton Island the worlds ultimate Sand Boarding experience. Hit speeds of up to 70 km/h as you slide down the sand on a board only five millimeters thick. Experience the exhilaration as you slide for nearly 200 meters at eye watering speed.
Sunset Safaris will take you into the Desert in one of our purpose built 4WD buses, where you will enjoy the inland 4WD adventure too and from the desert.
